Went to the doctor today, a doctor who actually listened and didn't make me feel completely uncomfortable, especially considering the appointment I was at. But, anyway, I have two meds to see if they help get rid of the problem. If the problem gets worse then I need to call and get in sooner than my already 6 week appointment that is scheduled. Depending on how things go, depends on whether or not I need further testing.
Well, went to get my prescriptions filled, and neither insurance company wants to fill one of them. They had to fax the doctor to get an explanation as to why I need to be on it. First response, obviously the doctor thinks I need to be on it, isn't that explanation enough? Second, my dumbass can't even remember the name of the prescription so I could see why 2 insurance companies need so much information. I called the doctor's office to let them know what was going on and they informed me that they would be looking for the fax, no problem.
This evening I decided to call back the pharmacy to see the status of my prescription. My naive self. "M'am, just so you know it can take up to 2 weeks to get an approval. But, go ahead and call back tomorrow."
How will a prescription that is supposed to fix a problem now going to help me if I can't even have it for up to 2 weeks later?
B.S. That's what I gotta say. Absolute b.s.
But, maybe, they will put a rush on it...maybe.
